Here is a nice write up on forms from the boys at Smashing Magazine. It does well to show how forms work online and how some of the different devices handle them, especially some of the more complex combinations. Forms are a big enough pain on a computer, I can’t imagine they are any fun to work with on the mobile devices; though perhaps the device built in handling of them makes up for this and might even make it easier.
